I can clearly recall the first time I received flowers. I was in kindergarten then and I got freshly picked roses from one of my classmates who claimed to have a crush on me. I naturally said thank you and smelled it. I remember frowning after sniffing the pretty little thing because it didn't smell in any way nice. Fast forward to high school, I got my first flower bouquet. They were of all flowers, yellow and white roses. While I did not bring them anywhere close to my nose, I walked around school with a very wide grin, parading the beautiful gift I just received. Bad news for men: not all women react to flowers like me. Because we have naturally different personalities, please do not be offended when women do not appreciate cut plants like how actors portray in movies. Some are just not exactly fond of plants. Period. I have good news though: if you still want to give flowers because of its sentimental value, you have other options.

Flowers are hands down, beautiful and have been long a symbol of love, affection, and gratitude. Women naturally like gifts associated with these words and flowers are your best bets. Men are in luck because flowers do not just grow on soil today. They have actually managed to grow from boutiques, art stores, supermarkets, and bookstores!

Taking a trip to the mall can overwhelm one with brooches, ceramics, vases, bags, or even kitchen mixers all decorated and embellished with flowers. Surprise your lady with sugar cookies, soaps, and candles all shaped into flowers. Artists can also render a unique piece that can speak of your feelings and leave your woman breathless. Bookstores and supermarkets are my favorite modern flower growers because they house the most interesting forms of this popular gift! I just saw a lovely recyclable grocery bag printed with mod looking flowers next to the local produce. The gift-wrapping section is my favorite bookstore aisle because they have pretty wrappers and bows with slightly embossed flowers. How lovely is that?

My point is, whatever a woman says, do not just bite if she says she doesn't like flowers. Do your research, pick on what interests her genuinely, and fuse in the floral element from there. It would be nice if you can actually shoot two birds with one stone: cast your message through flowers and captivate her with its immaculate and timeless beauty.

So the hunt begins for a Vera Bradley backpack.  Whether it's for school or not, a stylish backpack is hard to come by.  Most of the backpacks out there are either way to "kiddish" or just so bland and boring that you might as well carry your books in a paper bag.  You are probably also looking for a backpack that will not cost over $100 and when looking for style that can be a difficult task as well.

Well if you are tired of looking around at garage sales and thrift stores for a nice backpack then maybe it's time you think about a Vera Bradley bag.  The versatility of these bags is so great that you can use them for books or as a hip new purse.  I know a woman who would use her Vera backsack as a purse everywhere she went and she loved it.  You don't have to worry about things falling out and you can still carry all of your personal belongings.

There are many different patterns the bags come in as well.  So whether you are more of a prissy girl who loves pinks and purples you have the Raspberry Fizz, Pinwheel Pink or the new Purple Punch pattern coming out.  And if you like some of the more masculine colors like dark blue's and deep greens, you will love the Java Blue and Windsor Navy patterns Vera has.  Riviera Blue is also a great pattern that is more of a lighter blue with a uniform little pattern.  Personally, I like the backpack that comes in the Kensington pattern.  It's more of a brown paisely look and it blends well with everything.

Maybe you like to stay up late at night, then a Night Owl patterned bag would be perfect for you.  It is one of the new patterns for the fall of 2008, but it will be popular for a long time.  With all the new patterns coming out on a regular basis it's hard to not find a pattern you will just love and want to wear all the time.  You can always mix and match your Vera Bradley bags and accessories too, and that makes buying these patterns a lot of fun.

So even if you are done with school, I am sure you will find a practical use for a Vera backpack or backsack.  It's only a question of what kind of design will you get on it.  You might be worried about taking it to school because you don't want it to get dirty, but all Vera bags are machine washable so you can have it looking as good as new in no time even if you do spill a little something on there.

Military style dog tags are made from anodized aluminum and lack the rolled edge. This high-powered focused beam of light has enough energy to vaporize the anodized coating exposing the aluminum beneath the surface thus producing a visible mark on the material. A CO2 system manages the forming of the image much like a conventional dot matrix printer scanning left to right as it moves down “through the image” while pulsing it’s vaporizing beam onto the material. The Nd:YAG laser system achieves the surface image by steering the beam of light through a lens by means of mirrors controlled by a computer.

When it comes to producing engraved dog tags both systems are not equal. The much slower CO2 system produces marks of varying quality depending on the product color (anodized coating) being marked. Quality is defined in terms of brightness of the mark. The brighter the better. A high quality laser engraved mark appears bright white no matter what the color of the material. With CO2 systems, some marks take on the color tint of the material being marked resulting in a less desirable looking image. Trouble colors include red, blue and black. Rarely, if ever will a CO2 laser produce a bright white mark on custom dog tags of these colors. Take home message: when placing an order for laser engraved dog tags always inquire about the equipment being used. If itÂ’s a CO2 laser you can expect that your image on some colors will not look very attractive (for example it will look pink on red, light blue on blue and grey on black colored products). A more consistent and higher quality engraved dog tags is achieved with Nd:YAG laser systems.
