Gucci, or other "haute couture" clothing: Have you worn it to work, and what were the reactions?

In a bout of generosity, my sig. other bought me a *beautiful* pair of Gucci black leather pants. Because I love them, and because I never expected to own anything quite so "chic", I wear them to work. Anyway, one of my colleagues was checking them out up close and saw the brand name. She exclaimed "oh wow; those are Gucci's!", and many overheard. [As an aside, I could tell that a couple of conservative folks were a little put off because they're leather, but as soon as they realized they were expensive, then it was suddenly OK...so odd]

What I'm wondering is if many of you have worn "haute couture" clothes to work, leather or otherwise, and what the reactions were from your colleagues - if any. Did they react as if you were trying to put on airs/be a big shot? Or did they even care?

Well it depends on where you live and what kind of work you work?

The people I know and myself we always have labels .. and we love those louis vuitton bags and belive me I don't sound cocky because the other woman spend the same money as I do.
