How do I Strap My Shoulder?

I hurt my shoulder last night and i don't know how.. possibly a pulled or torn muscle. it hurts when i move it certain ways and every few minutes or so it has a pain from just above the elbow to the shoulder. i need to go play sport soon and i was just wondering if anyone has steps on how to strap it and if strapping it will ease the pain or prevent further injury?

If you strap it it will make the muscles (the stabilizers) weaker and you will injure it again.
