what kind of bag/purse will work for me?

i realized today that I'm going to need a purse or small bag to carry around with me. I really don't want one of those Vera Bradleys...not my thing. I'm kind of a tomboy...more of an athletic girl, but I wear jeans a fitted t-shirts and everything. I have a lot of t-shirts with rock bands on them (queen, beatles, aerosmith, etc)

what would be a good type of purse/bag for me to carry around like when I go to the mall? I kind of like the Baggallini messenger bag ones that you sling over your shoulder
