Louis Vuitton Handbag - trim/handle change color?

I own a Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Montorgueil PM handbag which I purchased from the Louis Vuitton store in Westchester Mall, New York about 1 1/2 years ago (along with a matching cosmetic case and zippy wallet). I just purchased a Keepall 55 duffle bag and got home with it and the trim does not match my handbag? The trim on this new duffle bag is more of a very light beige? My handbag trim/handle is a dark honey color? Anyone know why that is? Is the Louis Vuitton store now selling fakes? LOL! Anyway, any input or info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Louis Vuitton use a leather that tans with age when they are new they are light like your keepall but over time it will darken to be more like your montorgueil. The process speeds up with use exposure to sunlight, oxygen, skin oils etc.
