Let's talk about one of the tricks of the printing trade. The CMYK Formula for Printing The Color Black - Deep Rich Black.

"Why is the color Black on my business card, flyer, brochure or postcard a gray color and not true Black?" I get this a lot from clients. Many graphics artist do not disclose this information in hopes to have the clients return since their printing products are the Blackest. By disclosing this information to my clients, up to now, they have been so grateful that they come back to ask for quotes on other printing products. People don't remember what you said to them, they remember more, how, you made them feel. My clients have good feeling knowing they are getting the best advice to serve their clients. After all, it's all about product satisfaction.

Deep rich black is an ink mixture of solid black, 100% K, with additional CMY ink values. This results in a darker tone than black ink alone. If you print black alone as 100% K, the resulting black may not be as dark as you might like.
The CMYK Formula for Printing the Color Black - Deep Rich Black is C60 M40 Y40 K100.
This formula was taken from 3 of the top printers in the US.

Just about any quality printer will tell you this; however, of course, you have to ask. Some printers will have other formulas for CMYK values – this is ok. Anywhere close to the above value will get you a better Deep Rich Black than using naked black K100% only.

How do I translate text fields in Crystal Reports?

Let's say all I have is a report with one text box on it that says "School". Can I make Crystal Reports show "Ecole" if the user is running in French?

I know I have to provide the translation and I can't possibly make Crystal Reports automatically do this, but I can't figure out how/where to put the French strings.

Is this even possible?

Here's a pretty simple way to do it.

1. Create a parameter named "Language" that allows the user to choose one value from "English", "French", "Spanish", etc. You might want to provide a default value such as "English".

2. Create a formula named "School Label" as:

select {?Language}
case "English": "School"
case "French" : "Ecole"
case "Spanish": "Escuela"
default : "School"

3. Drag/drop the "School Label" formula as a field in your report.

4. Refresh the report and choose a language.

If you want you can add your formula to the tool-tip text of the field. Right mouse on the field, select Format Field, click Common tab, click X+2 formula edit button to the right of Tool Tip Text, paste the same formula into the Tool Tip Text formula, and save.

What does the encircled R mean inside my purse? It's the black multicolored purse. Is it fake?

I was given a black Louis Vuitton purse as a gift a few years ago. It is black with multi-colored designs on it, including the initials LV. Also on the leather trim it says Louis Vuitton Paris Made in France. It also says this inside the purse. It has a zipper across the top that zips up from each side. The thing I was wanting to know-what does the R inside a circle mean just above the name??I have no idea myself. Thanks for your help.

But before i do that, you fall asleep, in my Miu Miu's deluctable cotton insides. although you feel sticky when you touch the patent leather from the outside. How can you tell a fake Chanel purse from the real thing?

I saw a cute "Chanel" purse at the mall that was only $47 dollars so I know it is fake. Other than the price, is there any way that other people will be able to notice?
