Pale skin is another cause for this. This may arise from various reasons such as having insufficient sleep, tiredness or illness, all of which would indirectly make the dark circles more visible through the skin.

Exposure to Sunlight

Exposure to sun light increases the level of pigmentation and cause tanning. Same thing applies well for the skin under eyes. When skin under eyes gets exposed to sun it tans and appears dark.

Heredity

Like many skin conditions, dark circles under the eyes are often an inherited trait. It is very common for family members to have similar dark circles. The skin that is under your eyes is very thin. When veins are close to the surface of the skin, it can give the appearance of a blue or dark color. The thinner your skin, which is also inherited, the darker the circles will appear.

Almond Oil and Honey: The exfoliating property of almond oil is suggested to activate the cells, leading to tightening of skin around the eyes, thereby treating dark circles. For this, you can equally mix almond oil and honey and apply it on the dark circles around the eyes for about 10 minutes regularly.

Diet

One of the big causes of dark circles under your eyes is not getting the right vitamins and minerals. Dark circles under your eyes is your body's way of letting you know that something isn't right. Make sure you're eating a healthy, balanced diet every day, and you'll see those dark circles fade away.
